This article is from a little over one month ago.
This story reports of a con-man, quack abortion doctor operating an illegal practice in Mt. Lebanon (Bucks County) and Philadelphia. My sources tell me the a good number of the women in this abortion ring were from overseas (non-Americans, looking for refuge from their homelands, and desperate to not bring a baby into this world that they cannot properly care for).
The women victims of this man's abortions were left with parts of the baby and/or fetuses still in their wombs.
Currently, Planned Parenthood is also under attack, while they have remained a safe, open resource center for young women (primarily african-american, approx. age 16) for preventative birth control, low-cost pap smears & STD screenings, and a last-resort place for safe, clean abortions (which are often the last resort from a raping or incest forced on the young woman). "Mt. Lebo Man Charged With Philadelphia Abortion Doctor Accused Of Murder
Posted: 1:55 pm EST January 19, 2011
Authorities this morning arrested a Mt. Lebanon man on murder charges, saying he helped a Philadelphia abortion doctor kill babies.Detectives from the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office arrested Steven Massof, 48, at his home, said Mike Manko, spokesman for the office. Massof faces 12 charges including two counts of murder.Massof worked in the Philadelphia clinic of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, who was charged with eight counts of murder in the deaths of a patient and seven babies who were born alive and then killed with scissors, Philadelphia prosecutors said.Gosnell, 69, made millions of dollars over 30 years, performing as many illegal, late-term abortions as he could, prosecutors said. State regulators ignored complaints about him and failed to visit or inspect his clinic since 1993, but no charges were warranted against them, Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams said.Gosnell "induced labor, forced the live birth of viable babies in the sixth, seventh, eighth month of pregnancy and then killed those babies by cutting into the back of the neck with scissors and severing their spinal cord," Williams said.Williams said patients were subjected to squalid and barbaric conditions at Gosnell's Women's Medical Society.According to a 63-page grand jury presentment, Massof admitted that he himself had cut the spinal cords of babies and regularly witnessed such killings. Massof left the clinic in 2008 and now works as a telemarketer. He was an unlicensed medical school graduate whom Gosnell employed from 2003 to 2008 to perform abortions, the presentment states. One of the murder charges against Massof stems from him telling the grand jury he was assisting Gosnell with an abortion when he saw the baby's leg "jerk and move." After he observed this movement, Massof saw Gosnell kill the baby, according to the presentment.Authorities went to investigate drug-related complaints at the clinic last year and stumbled on what Williams called a "house of horrors.""There were bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses were scattered throughout the building," Williams said. "There were jars, lining shelves, with severed feet that he kept for no medical purpose."The clinic was shut down and Gosnell's medical license was suspended after the raid.Workers, some of whom also are charged with murder, were untrained and unlicensed, including a high-school student who performed anesthesia with potentially lethal narcotics, Williams said.Gosnell, Massof and eight other employees are in custody, authorities said. This article was written by Channel 11 News partners at TribLIVE with help from the Associated Press."1
